The Idea
Hey! My name’s Jake, and I’m a golden retriever. My job has always been to retrieve. Now I’m trying to fetch homes for the homeless. I’ve gone to heaven, but my mission is still being carried on today.
My friend, Alan Graham, the founder of Mobile Loaves & Fishes, came up with an idea of a planned community for the homeless. The idea is simple: provide a roof over people’s heads and give them a helping hand.
That’s how Community First! Village was born. A 27-acre master-planned community that will provide affordable, sustainable housing and a supportive community for the disabled, chronically homeless in Central Texas.
